Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

To get carrier rates, the quote tool needs only six pieces of information: your gender, birth date, self-assessed health status, tobacco-use history, desired death benefit amount, and policy term length. This is sufficient to generate comparable quotes from multiple carriers. Personal identifiers like your name, mailing address, or phone number are not required and are only requested if you proceed to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The rates displayed represent what each carrier quotes for the health class you selected during the quiz. After your application is submitted, the carrier's underwriting team will review your complete medical history and other factors; they may confirm the quoted class, upgrade you to a better class, downgrade you to a higher-risk class, or assign a table rating. This site makes no guarantee about pricing and carries no obligation; nothing here constitutes an offer of insurance coverage or a binding rate commitment.

What happens when I click Apply?

When you click Apply, you enter your name and your selected quote information is used to create an application. The application then continues on the carriers' secure platform where you can complete and pause your submission at any time. You will sign electronically to finalize. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed insurance agency (License 0B75129), coordinates the application process with the carriers.

Will I need a medical exam?

Whether an exam is required depends on the specific carrier, the benefit amount you requested, and the answers you provided in your application. Carriers offering immediate decisions can approve eligible applicants without a medical exam. Your quotes display explicitly whether each product requires an exam, may require an exam, or needs no exam under normal circumstances.

Is a longer term better?

The right term length depends on your specific circumstances. Identify the period during which your income would leave dependents vulnerable: mortgage years, years with minor children, years of outstanding business debt, or years until retirement. Choose the term that covers that window. Longer terms cost more monthly but lock your rate for more years; shorter terms cost less but expire sooner. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options at the same benefit level.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not gather contact information, our organization does not sell or lease personal data to any third party, and we employ measurement technology that does not use cookies or long-term identifiers. Please visit the privacy policy for the full accounting of what data is collected, by whom, and for how long.
